Last Chance Dog Training

Turn This...    Into This!

Our Training Philosophy

At Last Chance Training we teach you and the dogs you own. We strive to teach you the owner how to develop a healthy human/canine relationship so both you and your dog are happy at the end of the training.  It isn’t so important that your dog be doing the perfect heel or sit but that in general they listen and respect you and that you understand how they think.  To accomplish this we use a combination of praise, corrections and commands to communicate to the dog in a way they understand what we wish of them.  We establish some rules and boundaries that will allow you and your pet to live together in harmony.

Our training is accomplished with the absolute minimum of physical correction.  We teach the owner to use the dog's natural and instinctive rules to communicate with their pet.  We show the dog praise as the reward for doing commands and we use the commands to change your pet's behavior.

Gain your dog's respect today... it will make life with your pet better for everyone in the family, including your pet!

Who am I you ask ?

What qualifies me to help you with your dog? I have had over 28 years of experience dealing with every kind, person, personality and problem one can imagine. I began my career working for "World Of Dogs" a company located in Washington D.C.

Beginning in the kennels, I learned my craft well, eventually advancing to the position of educating the new trainers. I was also the company trouble shooter. If any of our trainers had a problem they couldn't deal with, I was sent out to solve the problem. During my time with the company I was given continuing education in the fields of psychology and animal behavior, attending educational seminars. I spent ten years with "World Of Dogs" and have since freelanced on my own starting my own company Last Chance Dog Training.
